How to contact us?
Finding the right home is a personal decision. To discuss how we can help or to arrange a tour, please contact us at (415) 496-6630.
Is this the right fit?
Depending on personal preference, some seniors may prefer living in a large institutional facility or a home-like residence. Our experience suggests that seniors livings in a small residence enjoy a higher level of attention and form deeper bonds. For seniors who prefer a friendly environment with personal care, our homes are unique for the quality of our outstanding care givers. Our residents often form deep friendships with other residents and staff members, who are available for them 24/7.
To determine if our homes are right for you, please call for a tour at (415) 496-6630.

Each home can accommodate 6 residents. Single and double rooms are available. Couples are welcome with a special discount.
What are the cost considerations?
The cost of care depends on the level of care and services required. Please call us to discuss your specific requirements.
Tax deductibility may make our services more affordable than you think. Residents and their responsible parties may be able to deduct the cost of our services if the senior has severe cognitive impairment or is unable to perform at least two activities of daily living (eg bathing, dressing, eating, transferring, toileting, continence). Please consult your tax advisor and refer to IRS Publication 502 for details.
If you are a veteran or a spouse of a veteran, you may qualify for the Veterans Affairs Aid and Attendance Pension (A&A Program). You may be eligible to receive an increase monthly pension amount to cover the cost of care, provided one of the following conditions:
- You require assistance to perform activities of daily living or adjust prosthetic devices or protect yourself from the hazards of your daily environment
- You are bedridden
- Your eyesight is limited to a corrected 5/200 visual acuity or less in both eyes; or concentric contraction of the visual field to 5 degrees or less
Please consult the Department of Veterans Affairs for details.
What is the ratio of staff to residents?
The ratio is about 1 caregiver to 3 residents. (In addition, the front line team is supported “behind the scene” by managers and contractors.) Generally, the ratio of direct staff to residents at our homes is much higher than in large institutions. As a result, residents get a lot more personalized care and attention.
Is medical care provided?
We do not provide medical treatments. However, residents regularly receive treatment from their nurses, physical therapists and other health practitioners who come to our homes. Our caregivers have first-aid training and can help with the use of oxygen tanks and some other medical equipment. We also assist with keeping appointments, arranging transport for appointments and even accompanying residents to medical appointments.
What kind of care is available for dementia?
Our homes have 24/7 staff presence, ensuring that residents do not wander outside of the homes unaccompanied. Our homes have safety features and are furnished in a comfortable and soothing manner. Our team members are trained to interact with residents frequently as they would with family members to keep the residents mentally engaged and socially connected. Residents are encouraged to play games and puzzles that aid memory preservation (on their own or with team members or family members). Each room can be programmed with the residents’ favorite music to create a comforting and familiar surrounding. In our experience, residents with dementia usually become very comfortable in our homes and develop deep, trusting bonds with the team members over time.
Can wheelchairs be accommodated?
Yes, our homes have been upgraded for wheelchair access, with appropriate access ramps, doors and bathrooms. We are very experienced in assisting residents with mobility restriction.
Is hospice care available?
We have hospice waivers that authorize us to care for terminally ill residents. Some residents who develop terminal conditions may choose to continue staying at our homes. However, certain medical conditions and treatments require residents to relocate to hospitals or other medical facilities.
